The 7th District of the Free and Accepted Masons of Florida hosted their first ever Family Fun and Togetherness Day on Saturday, March 19, at the Greenway in Branford. Although small for it's first year, the event provided food, a chalk drawing contest for the kids, bounce houses, face painting, cotton candy and drawings for four items. The LifeSouth BloodMobile was even there for people to give blood and receive a $20 e-gift card.
Winners for the chalk drawing contest were Carly Gillette, first-place; Ashlyn, second-place and Harper in third-place. Those who won the raffles were Tony Nolan, who won the hunting bag; Sandy Zolonz, who won the basket; Sara Singleton, who won the afghan and Sue H., who won the quilt.
Although the weather became a tough opponent, with rain having been in the forecast all that week, the event still proved to be a success. The 7th District of the Free and Accepted Masons of Florida are hoping next year's turnout will be even better.
