Part of US Highway 129 North in Live Oak will be temporarily closed for two weeks beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, according to the Live Oak Police Department (LOPD).
The closure on US Highway 129 North will stretch from the main traffic light that intersects at US 90, to Duval Street. According to the LOPD, the road closure is due to construction taking place at the railroad crossing, including reconstruction of the crossing and repaving of the highway.
The Florida Department of Transportation approved detour routes which will include the bypass road at US 90, Houston Avenue to 72nd Trace, and the bypass road at US 90 East, north of County Road 49 to 72nd Trace. Optional routes for local residents include Mussey Avenue to Duval Street and Houston Avenue to Duvall Street.
