On Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, Linda Howard Dye, wife and mother of two, entered Eternal Life at the age of 76 peacefully in her home and surrounded by her loving family. Dye was born on March 20, 1945, in Starke, Fla., to Ardell and Dorothy (Futch) Howard. She was a graduate of Columbia High School. Dye married the love of her life, Donald ‘Don’ Dye, on May 17, 1975. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was very fond of Patsy Cline and even did stage performances as her tribute. Dye was a lifelong resident of the Lake City and Wellborn area and truly enjoyed being a part of the community. She served as former President of the Live Oak Altrusa, former Chairperson of the Suwannee County Building and Zoning Board and was a member of various other committees. Linda had a passion for antiques and was the owner and operator of the Kornucopia Antique Shop in Wellborn, Fla. She was a Notary Public and performed several marriage ceremonies. Through Dye's antique shop and notary services, she was able to do what she loved, which was converse with her customers, visit her fellow community members and get to know strangers. Dye is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald ‘Don’ Dye; her two sons, Donald ‘Shawn’ Dye and wife Tammy of Live Oak and Douglas ‘Shane’ Dye and wife Jamie of Lake Mary; five loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
