It's that time of year again! Boys and girls ages four to 12 will soon be able to participate in Branford and Lafayette's Babe Ruth Leagues for the spring baseball and softball season.
Online registration for Branford's Babe Ruth League officially opened on Monday, Jan. 17, for parents to sign their kids up for coed t-ball, baseball or softball. Coed t-ball registration is open for kids ages four through six, as of May 1, 2022; baseball is open for boys ages seven to 12 and softball is open for girls ages seven to 12, as of Saturday, Jan. 1. In-person registration and uniform fittings will take place at the Hatch Park community center on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and Thursday, Feb. 10, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Registration is $75 per player and includes a uniform. Online registration for Lafayette's Babe Ruth League will open soon. In mid-February, baseball and softball registration forms will be available online for parents to fill out. In addition, in-person registration and payment collection will also be available at a later date in February. Keep an eye open for the link to the online registration form on the “Lafayette Babe Ruth” Facebook page. Practices will be held at the Edward Perry Sports Complex, located at NE CR 400, in Mayo. Lafayette Babe Ruth League's “Super Saturday” official opening ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, March 22.
