The San Marco Chamber Music Society (SMCMS) was founded in 2008 by long-standing Jacksonville Symphony members Eric and Ellen Olson. Now in its 15th season, SMCMS presents free world-class chamber music concerts to the northeast Florida community. Composed mostly of members of the Jacksonville Symphony, with some faculty members from local universities, SMCMS has toured England in 2016 and Germany in 2019. On Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m., SMCMS will be bringing to Live Oak a free concert of Vivaldi concerti for flute, oboe and bassoon, plus a rarely heard piece by Johann Gottlieb Janitsch. The musicians performing are Les Roettges, flute; Eric Olson, oboe and Conrad Cornelison, bassoon. Also featured are Aurica Duca and Megan McClendon Rios, violin; Ellen Olson, viola; Brian Magnus, cello and Peter DeWitt, harpsichord. The concert will be held at Covenant First Presbyterian Church, located at 421 White Ave., in Live Oak.
