Charlotte Jean Boswell Farley was born in McAlpin, Fla., on March 10, 1942. She was the eldest child of the late Melvin Boswell and the late Lola Gray Boswell. Farley left this life on Jan. 2, 2022, at the age of 79. She had been a faithful member of the Church of Christ since the age of 15. She is survived by Bob, her husband of 47 years; her children, Crystal (Dan), Angela (Rod) and Shay (Debbie); her siblings, Earl (Teena) and Carolyn (Ronald); her grandchildren, Christopher (Sharon), Tyler, Jaclyn (Mav) and Cameron; and great-grandchildren, Dallas and Jonas (Christopher and Sharon). Farley was predeceased by her daughter, Gina (Tom), who passed away in 2018. She lived most of her life in Live Oak, attending Suwannee public schools. She had moved to Orlando, Fla., from Japan in 1972, where she met Bob and they were married in 1974. For 15 years, she worked for as a senior claims adjustor at Allstate Insurance in Orlando. She returned to Suwannee County in 2003 when Bob took a city government position in Live Oak. Farley was a talented decorator. Her home was beautiful, drawing the admiration of visitors. She was skilled in creating artistic flower, topiary and wreath arrangements. She had also recently taken up the hobby of designing greeting cards. What was most remarkable about her artistic talent was that though she was completely self-taught, her creations were of equal caliber to what one would find in well-known home design publications. Her advice and expertise in decorating and design were often sought by friends and neighbors. Her memory lives on in her artistic creations. She was dearly loved by friends and family and is missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Farley's memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please sign the guestbook at www.danielsfuneralhome.com. Daniels Funeral Homes & Crematory, Live Oak and Branford, was in charge of all arrangements.
