On Sunday, Oct.10, a fatal incident occurred involving Live Oak residents Joe Danby Lewis (38) and Johnathan Bryce Galloway (42).
The incident involving the two gentlemen took place on Sunday, Oct. 10, around 11 a.m., at Galloway's residence in Live Oak. The two gentlemen were good friends and knew each other well. Mid-morning on Sunday, Lewis arrived at Galloway's residence to retrieve his trailer and tools. The following chain of events is unclear. However, tragedy struck the families of both gentlemen, as heated tempers got the best of the situation. During the altercation, Galloway grabbed a firearm, fatally shooting Lewis before turning the firearm on himself.
Lewis left behind his two sons and a fiancé. Galloway left behind two daughters. The final police report has not been released at the time of this article.
