John Robert Frank, 62 of Mayo, passed away on Thursday Sept. 16, 2021, at Shand's Hospital at the University of Florida following an extended illness. Frank was born May 28, 1959, in Silver Springs, Md., to Johnny Allen Frank and Donna Marie Lodge Frank. He was a "Jack of all trades" who did work as a finish carpenter, custom knife maker, cabinet maker and vintage restorer. Known as a prankster by his family and friends, Frank enjoyed building and running RC cars, collecting artifacts and spending time at the river. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Allen Frank and a step-daughter, Crystal Calcareme.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Marie Frank, of Mayo; 1 brother, Kenneth Allen Frank, of Winter Haven, Fla.; two sisters: Rebecca Frank Sapp and husband Everett Sapp and Bonny Yates; his life partner of 24 years, Susan Roberson, all of Mayo; three step-sons: Christopher Woodham, of Live Oak; Ryan Austin, of Miami, and Michael Register, of Ft. Worth, TX; two step-daughters: Delores Mastera and Delilah Walters, both of Ft. Worth, TX.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
