Angela Gayle Jackson-Williams was born on Aug. 28, 1952, in Manhattan, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Bessie Jackson. Her siblings are Shiela Jackson and Jimmy Jackson.
A time to live...
Angela was a caring woman who gave so graciously of herself within the community to help others. She received her early education in Live Oak, where she graduated from Suwannee High School in 1970. After she graduated, she attended the University of Maryland. After graduation from college, she enrolled in the Job Corps for two years. After completing the Job Corps, she joined the United States Army in 1977 and was enlisted until 1984. After her time with the Army, she became employed with Suwannee County Emergency Medical Technical and Century Ambulance in Lake City. She retired from both jobs in 2011.
A time to die...
Her spirit peacefully made the ultimate journey to be with God on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Haven Hospice in Lake City.

Angela was a cherished soul, a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Sgt. Harold Williams. They were united in Matrimony in 1989. She was a loving mother to their three sons, Mario Redfearn (Alisa) of Anchorage, Alaska; Harold Williams, Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif. and Shiqunt'e Williams (Keyonna) of Atlanta, Ga. She leaves behind one sister, Sheila Jackson, of Camden, N.J.; one brother, Jimmy Jackson (Karen) of Live Oak; four grandchildren: Kaleb Redfearn, Luke Redfearn, Micha Redfearn and Daniel Ashenfelter, all of Anchorage, Alaska; six sister-in-laws: Jeanette, of southern California; Sharon, of Fontana, Calif.; Wanda, of Rialto, Calif.; Demetris, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mary, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Lynn, of Washington, D.C.; two uncles: Gene Depass, of Live Oak and Rudolph Depass, of Bethesda, Md.; devoted nieces: Tawanna Jackson-Jones Kiea Stokes, Tiffannee Jackson, special devoted niece and caregiver Adrienne Linton-Jordan (Kerry) and nephew, Matthew Jackson. She leaves behind devoted great niece Kiara Davis and devoted great nephew Shawn Jackson, great great niece Serina Jackson and great great nephew Merron Herring III.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, at Ivey Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., located at 620 Houston Ave. S.W., in Live Oak.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer AME Church, located at 411 Parshley St. E., in Live Oak.
