First Baptist Church of Branford held their monthly Senior Fun Day on Tuesday, July 20, for seniors in the Branford area ages 50 and over to get together to socialize, play games and do crafts. The event was held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and even included a free lunch of meatloaf, rolls, a plethora of sides and even peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert.
After signing in, each senior wrote their name on a name-tag, making it easier for each other to get acquainted. In the church's sanctuary, checkers, chess, scrabble and even traditional wood peg games accompanied puzzles at tables for attendees to sit down and enjoy. However, all seniors were encouraged to bring their own favorite crafts, games or even instruments to enjoy, as well.
First Baptist Church of Branford's next Senior Fun Day will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the church's sanctuary. First Baptist Church of Branford is located at 607 Suwannee Ave. NW, in Branford.
