If you have been following the Riverbend News, you may be familiar with Dalton Izell and his story.
Izell is a four-year-old boy from Jasper diagnosed with Diffused Widespread Anaplastic Wilms' Tumor, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Izell's family and friends have coined the phrase, "Backing Dalton All the Way" and "Roaring out Cancer" and have begun multiple fundraiser projects to support his battle with cancer.
The next upcoming fundraiser is the “OneBlood Team Dalton Blood Drive”, on Saturday, Aug. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Hitchcock's Market, in Jasper.
All donors will receive a beach towel, $10 electronic gift card and wellness check-up, including measurements of blood pressure, iron and cholesterol. To make an appointment, visit oneblood.org/donate-now, and use the sponsor code #65614.
There will be a donation table set up by the bus for Izell, where they will also be selling Dalton keychains, bracelets and other goods.
