Mary Frances McCullers, 92, of Live Oak, passed away on Thursday, July 15. She was born on Jan. 4, 1929, to Reginald H. Scott, Sr. and Jewel McCullers Scott in Live Oak. McCullers graduated from Suwannee High School in the class of 1947. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Rainbow Sunday School class of Live Oak.
McCullers is survived by two daughters: Dianne Sullivan, Tampa, Fla. and Jan Cruz (David), Cudjoe Key, Fla.; grandson Britt Sullivan (Courtney) and great-granddaughter Kylee Sullivan, all of Tampa, Fla.; step-daughter June Kirby (Ronnie), Live Oak; step-sons: Cecil James McCullers (Bryan), Ashville, N.C. and Dale McCullers (Nell), Waycross, Ga. and numerous step-grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Major Cecil McCullers, brother Reginald Scott, Jr., sister Helen Gamble and two step-grandsons.
A service to celebrate her life was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19, at Daniels Funeral Home, in Live Oak, with Rev. Phillip Herrington officiating. Interment was at Live Oak Cemetery.
