Suwannee County Fire Rescue (SCFR) and the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) responded to an accident involving a vehicle inside a local bar on Wednesday, July 7.
According to the report filed by the SCSO, the accident took place at approximately 2:14 a.m. The suspect, Victoria Nichole Cumbess, of Live Oak, got into a verbal argument with an unnamed victim before proceeding to strike the victim in the face with a closed fist. Cumbess is reported as then entering her vehicle, placing it into gear and driving through the side of Live Oak Locals bar (formerly Boondocks bar), located at 6613 CR 249. The report states Cumbess narrowly missed striking the initial victim, as well as 10 other victims inside the business. The victims are reported to have told deputies that, upon exiting her vehicle, Cumbess stated: "I need to do that again."
Cumbess caused approximately $10,000 in damage to the property, as well as $1,000 in spoiled merchandise. She was arrested and booked into the Suwannee County Jail at approximately 3:35 a.m. under one felony count aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, one count misdemeanor battery-touch or strike and one count felony damage property-criminal mischief of $1,000 or more. Her bond was set at $57,500 and she has since been released.
