Hamilton County has implemented a local state of emergency ahead of Tropical Storm Elsa. The road department is on standby and will provide sandbags but does not have the manpower to fill them, sandbags can be picked up at the county road department located at 1623 Martin Luther King Dr. SW in Jasper. All recreational vehicle residents are advised to make preparations to evacuate.
