The Fifth Annual Father Daughter Dance, presented by the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Saturday, June 19, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Suwannee County Coliseum, located at 1302 SW 11th St., in Live Oak. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce at (386) 362-3071 or by registering through their website at suwanneechamber.com. Tickets will not be sold at the door this year.
"Pretty much everything will be the same as our dances from previous years," Administrative Assistant Sicily Johnson stated. "Of course, we did not have one last year because of the coronavirus, so this dance will be like a welcome back."
The dance will be a fun night for daughters, as well as their fathers or father-like figures. There will be refreshments, a live DJ, dance competitions, prizes, a photo booth provided by Tammy John's Photography, a balloon drop and more.
"The annual Father Daughter Dance is the most special of them all," the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce website reads. "Fathers love getting that extra special night with their daughters. Everything is so elegant and put together so well, the girls feel like they are enjoying a princess ball!"
Profits from the dance will benefit the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. The annual scholarship is open for applications in the spring to seniors of Suwannee High School and Branford High School planning to attend a college or higher educational institution.
