Residents of Branford, get ready to uncap your pens; the election for Branford's Town Council Post 4 position will be taking place on Tuesday, June 8. Running for the position are long-time residents, Amy Allen and Stacey Smith.
The position of Post 4 was previously filled by Randy Herndon. However, Herndon moved before his time in the position was up. Following his leaving, Diamond Baetson was voted into Post 4 by the council. Now, after approximately two years of filling in the post, Baetson has decided to step down.
Voting will take place on Tuesday in the Town Hall until 7 p.m., when the Town Council meeting will begin. The Branford Town Hall is located at 502 SW Suwannee Ave.
