Two churches in Mayo hosted fun-filled Easter events and services for their youth and members to enjoy and participate in.
During the tail-end of the month, on Wednesday, March 24, Grace Baptist Church held their weekly Awana Club meeting, where young members helped dye and decorate Easter eggs. Youth also helped the church get ready for the Easter egg hunt, which was held on Sunday, March 28. Later, on Easter Sunday, April 4, Grace Baptist Church held their morning Sunrise Service at 7:15 a.m. in front of the church, where they read from Mark 16. Morning worship began at 11 a.m., where members and visitors read from Luke 24 and recognized the Lord's Supper.
On Easter Sunday, April 4, The Journey Church also held a special event for their congregation to participate in before their morning service. At 9 a.m., members and visitors were able to enjoy a free delicious pancake breakfast, where they were able to build their own stacks piled high with fruit and covered in syrup. There was even a photo booth set up for families to take pictures after the morning service.
