On Saturday, March 13, at approximately 3 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to a vehicle versus tree accident on the corner of NE Scott Street and NE Anna Avenue in Live Oak.
A 2006 Chevrolet Trail Blazer driven by a 34-year-old woman, later identified as Christina Elliott of Live Oak, was traveling west on NE Scott Street "For unknown reason(s)," the FHP report states, Elliott's vehicle "traveled off the roadway onto the left shoulder, where it struck a tree."
Elliott was pronounced deceased on scene by Suwannee County Emergency Medical Service.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by Elliott's sister, Virginia Elliott, who is now the sole caregiver of Elliott's four children. "We are asking for help so we can pay for her wake and funeral expenses, as well as pay for things the kids might need," Virginia's GoFundMe post says. As of Friday, March 19, $3,490 has been raised of the $10,000 goal.
