Nelly Krosschell Roberson, age 86, of Jasper, passed away at her home in the early morning hours on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Nelly was born on April 9, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Charles and Margaret Krosschell. She married George Lamar Roberson on Nov. 18, 1967, blending their two families, making their version of the Brady Bunch. Not long after, their daughter Gina was born, making the family complete. Nell was the mother that was always there for her children and the wife that was a helpmate to her husband. She was a woman of faith and tried to live her life in a way that reflected that. Once the children were up and out on their own, Nelly often traveled with George when he was off to another job. They shared vacations and their love was evident in the life they made together. Upon retirement, they made their way home to Jasper and back to the farm. She didn't care for it that much at first but finally made peace with the chickens and cows and became a fierce protector of her farm animals. The Roberson farm became a place for the family to gather and Nell was always a gracious hostess. Survivors include her husband of nearly 54 years, George Lamar Roberson; two sons, Terry Morrison (Regina) and Paul Morrison (Lisa); two daughters, Paula Ruden and Gina Roberson; three sisters, Elizabeth, Alice and Kathy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Pastor Anita Stubbs officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery. Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla. was in charge of arrangements.
