Barbara Jean Baker, a devout Christian, died on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. She was a woman of great faith and love. Barbara Baker, also affectionately known as Mrs. B, was born in Live Oak, on Jan. 20, 1936, to the late Ethel Wright and Joe Allen of Live Oak. Mrs. Baker was married to the late Joseph Baker Jr. (Joe). She leaves behind eight children and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. A public viewing of Mrs. Baker will be held on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. A socially distanced graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Bethlehem Cemetery. Interment services will follow. We will observe the CDC's COVID-19 guidelines; please wear masks and social distance.
