Sadie Miller, a 12-year-old resident of Branford, Fla., has had a passion for singing since she was only six-years-old. She began her hobby of singing when she was in elementary school, participating in school talent shows and taking voice lessons at the age of eight.
Now, Miller actively performs at various locations, from local events to performances in Kentucky and Nashville, Tenn. She recently performed at Mayo's "A Pioneer Christmas" event on Saturday, Dec. 12 and she is active in the Orange Blossom Opry, located in Weirsdale, Fla. "I like to sing older country," Miller said. "Like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton."
Although she's only in seventh grade at Branford High School, Miller already knows she'd like to sing professionally when she gets older. "I dream of moving to Nashville to go to college and sing," she said.
So far, she has racked up quite a list of performances. At her young age, Miller has performed on the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour television show that airs on RFD-TV in Nashville, Tenn. She has also been chosen two consecutive years to sing the national anthem for the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee, Fla. Miller has even opened for country music artists Billy Dean and Trent Tomlinson and performed at the Suwannee River Jam in Live Oak, two years in a row.
"I hope to go on The Voice soon, too," Miller said. "I turn 13 in April, so I'm hoping to be able to try out sometime."
