William "Tommy" Thomas Cordle, Jr. was born Aug. 24, 1965 at the Live Oak Hospital. He died peacefully at The Surrey Place in Live Oak, on Dec. 31, 2020. He was 55 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents: William Thomas Cordle, Sr. and Sarah Susan Haas Cordle; sister, Cheryl Denise Cordle, nephew, Stephen "Michael" Cordle and step grandson, Dylan Austin Potter. Tommy is survived by his lifelong companion of over 38 years, Linda Douglas and her family: Lena (Ryan), Teri, Stacy (David), Timmy (Miranda), and their children, and a set of great grand triplets.
Tommy’s side is survived by his two brothers, Stephen and Kevin Cordle, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends over the years. Tommy was a resident of Live Oak, an avid Gator fan, an obvious Democrat and one who loved his dogs: Dixie, Milo and Honey. He worked many jobs over the years. Mentionable is the University of Florida in Gainesville as a groundskeeper until his health declined, then he delivered for the Lake City Reporter until he could no longer walk.
He has been cremated and will have a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been trusted to ICS Cremation & Funeral Home, located at 357 NW Wilks Lane, Lake City, Fla. 32055.
