The Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch (FSYR) will soon be opening its doors to the public for its annual open house event in February. The public is invited to attend the multi-day event, happening from Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23. The open house will also include a horse show that is put on by the youth who reside at the ranch. The open house is an opportunity to learn more about the FSYR, its history, and how it helps youth by practicing its motto of “mending lives and healing hearts” as it enters its 67th year. The FSYR is encouraging those who wish to camp out at the ranch in their motorhome during the event to reserve their space now. The campsite gates open on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 8 a.m. Campsites cost $40 per night. Campers can register online at www.youthranches.org by clicking on the events tab on the homepage.
