Apostolic Lighthouse Church congregants recently came together to bless and pray over the land that will eventually become the site of a bigger church on U.S. Highway 129 South in Live Oak. On Sunday, Nov. 24, the church gathered at the site as Pastor Dustin Bell and others recited prayer at the new site. Soon, Bell’s vision for the church will become a reality as plans are being made to begin construction. Bell, a former evangelist who left traveling the country to preach, settled into Live Oak with his wife and children in 2014 to form the church. It went from being a church of 14 people to nearly 100 people over the years. The church first opened at the strip mall where Badcock Furniture & More was located. Afterward, it moved to the building next to Jerry Corbett’s Mobile Home at 10340 FL 10A, in Live Oak. This new site will be an opportunity for the growing church to have a permanent location where more people can flock to on a Sunday. Currently, the church offers an 11 a.m. service and a 6 p.m. service on Sundays, and a 7 p.m. service on Thursdays. The church offers services for bilingual attendees, as well as sign language translation for deaf congregants.
