On Saturday, Dec. 21, children from across the region will be showing off their business leadership skills at the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, which will be held at Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs. This event will coincide with the park’s annual Festival of Lights, which will help bring Christmas cheer to the event. Children, assisted by their parents, will set up tents to sell their goods, however, parents cannot engage the customers. Parents will sit in the background while their children promote the items they are selling and handle all aspects of the transaction. This is a way for children to learn more about entrepreneurial skills and how to run a successful business early on. Admission for this event will be $4 per person at the gate. Children under 3 get in for free. According to the organization, they expect over 500 patrons at this event. For more information, contact the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park at (386) 397-4331.
