Zoning readings pass first vote

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, the Live Oak City Council met to discuss multiple items, which included various votes to approve first readings of proposed rezoning measures.
Prior to the evening’s meeting, a motion was called to remove from the agenda discussions Councilman Tommie Jefferson had planned to address to the council. Jefferson was not present for the meeting, and the motion was voted on and passed.
Public comment proceeded, where local resident Linda Williams came forward, addressing her concerns on street lights not working properly. She specifically stated that portions of Anna Street, as well as a couple of lights on 8th and 9th Stre
