HCHS introduces new attendance incentive

School attendance is a crucial aspect of learning, however, the problem of keeping students in school only seems to get worse as they get older. This is why Hamilton County High School (HCHS) is introducing a new program called “Cash for Attendance.”
“Currently, 261 out of our 811 students are considered off track with their attendance, with less than 90 percent attending school daily.” HCHS explained in a letter. Alarmingly, only 29.47 percent of our students maintain attendance greater than 96 percent, and approximately 32 percent are at risk of falling further behind.
