Traffic stop leads to struggle

A Saturday evening encounter with a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputy resulted in a trip to jail for 19-year-old Live Oak resident Joshua Christopher Taylor-Leidy after he allegedly resisted arrest for driving with a suspended license and having drug paraphernalia in his car.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, SCSO Deputy Michael Recca was fueling his patrol vehicle at Howland’s Express on 11th Avenue when he saw a 1999 black Suzuki without a license plate driving northbound on Scriven Avenue. Deputy Recca was able to locate the vehicle at the intersection of Orchard Street and Irvin Avenue and conducted a traffic stop.
