One of those events is the infamous Christmas on Bridge Street. On Friday, Dec. 6, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., people will gather all over White Springs for Suwannee Hardware & Feed’s Christmas celebration. The event boasts a plethora of entertainment for everyone who attends. There will be food, crafts, vendors, live Christmas music, a kids zone and an appearance from Santa Claus. It also boasts a ugly sweater contest open to all attendees. The fun doesn’t stop there either. There will also be a Chili Cook-Off during the festival. It costs $20 to enter the competition, and registration is required. Entries can be dropped off between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. the day of the festival. Judging and awards will happen at 5 p.m. First place will win $100, second place will receive $75, and third place will be awarded $50. Registration forms can be acquired by emailing suwanneehardware@gmail.com or visiting Suwannee Hardware & Feed. The end of the celebration will begin at 6 p.m. with the Christmas parade. Line up will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Bailey Ogburn Ballfield, located at 10628 Adam Memorial Cir., in White Springs. Suwannee Hardware & Feed is located at 10572 Bridge St., in White Springs.
