It can be fun to be scared

The popularity of all those "Freddy Krueger" and "Halloween" parts one through 87 movies serves as proof of one fact: many of us enjoy being scared. But why is that? The folks at FarmersAlmanac.com recently posted an article that looked at why so many enjoy the occasional fright.
The answer is actually as simple as our natural brain chemistry. That feeling of fear is our body's physical response to a perceived threat or danger. For example, a bear in the woods or a rattlesnake near our feet. When that happens, our brain releases the hormones adrenaline and cortisol into our bloodstream.
