The Suwannee County School Board convened at Branford High School on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for a somewhat solemn regular monthly meeting, as it was the final regularly scheduled meeting Superintendent Ted Roush and Chairman Jerry Taylor attended before their retirements following the November General Election.
The evening began with a public hearing concerning updates to the Suwannee County School District's Elementary and Secondary Student Progression Plans for the 2024-25 school year. As there was no input from the public regarding the additions and revisions, the public hearing was adjourned, and the board proceeded to the regular agenda.
