The Woman's Club of Live Oak, part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), is organizing a collection drive to assist victims of Hurricane Milton. The drive will be held at the clubhouse, located next to the Suwannee County Coliseum at 1304 SW 11th St., in Live Oak, providing an opportunity for the community to contribute much-needed supplies to those impacted by the recent disaster.
The club is accepting various essential items, including water, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, baby items, pet supplies and recreational items for children. Cash donations are also welcomed and can be placed in a collection jar at the site or made through CashApp or Venmo by contacting Megan at (386) 984-6408 for more information.
Needed items include:

Bottled water and non-perishable food items.

Cleaning supplies, such as dish soap, washcloths, trash bags, work gloves and general cleaning products.

Paper products, such as paper towels, paper plates, paper cups, silverware, toilet paper and tissues.

Personal hygiene items, including shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, female hygiene products, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes and hair accessories.

Diapers, wipes, bottles, children's socks and underwear.

Household items, such as towels, blankets, batteries, flashlights, candles and lighters

Dog and cat food, leashes, collars and pet toys.

Board games, coloring books, crayons and outdoor toys.
Collection times for donations are as follows:

Friday, Oct. 18, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 21, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The club will depart for Lakeland, Fla., on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 6 a.m. from the Live Oak Woman's Club to deliver the donations directly to those in need. For more information, call Megan at (386) 984-6408.
