Did you know SMS has a food bank?

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com Many may not know this, but Suwannee Middle School (SMS) has a food pantry for students in need. A large number of students, usually around 30, request take home food bags each week. In response, the school has a food pantry to assist students in need. However, since Hurricane Helene, the number of students has grown exponentially. As a result, the food bank is requesting donations of things they need every week. These items include peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, oatmeal, pudding, tortillas, apple sauce, yogurt, milk, Chef Boyardee, mac-ncheese, muffins, pop tarts, canned fruit and deodorant. The food bank cannot accept or send gl
