The Buccaneers took control early, establishing a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. However, the Tigers responded swiftly, scoring a touchdown followed by a successful two-point conversion, briefly giving them an 8-7 edge. The Bucs were quick to answer, though, reclaiming the lead at 14-8 midway through the second quarter.
