Live Oak man arrested for allegedly touching minor

On Tuesday, July 2, Suwannee County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) Deputy Bradley Griffin was contacted by the Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) in Washington in regards to sexual abuse allegations involving a minor. According to a report filed by the SCSO, 48-year-old Live Oak resident Jefferson Hamilton Helfrich was the main suspect. The initial report was authored by Deputy B. The original report alleges that a female minor older than 12-years-old but younger than 16-years-old was touched by Helfrich beneath her shirt while she was sleeping.
