Food bank coming to Mayo

On Thursday, Sept. 26, Catholic Charities will host an Outreach Food Distribution in Lafayette County through its Florida Gateway Food Bank from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., or while supplies last, at the Edward Perry Sports Complex. Catholic Charities provides food assistance to surrounding communities that may need help putting food on the table, including Columbia, Hamilton, Suwannee and Union Counties. Its goal is to serve one in six Americans who are fighting hunger by providing fresh produce and pantry staples.
