Live Oak City Council discusses flooding concerns

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, the Live Oak City Council met for its regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting began with the approval of the agenda, removing one item in regard to the planning and zoning board before approving it. The council then moved on to the tentative budget hearing.
First, City Attorney Thomas Kennon presented everyone with the first reading for the millage rate, setting it at 9.2623. There was no response to the call for public comment, so the item was approved. The second item in the public hearing was the first reading of the ordinance adopting the operating budget for the City of Live Oak. The council approved this as
