Snip, snip, hooray! Hamilton County Animal Shelter awarded spay/neuter grant

The Friends of Hamco Animal Shelter recently announced the shelter received a grant from Florida's Spay/Neuter specialty license plate fund to support pet owners and feral cat caretakers in Suwannee, Hamilton and Madison Counties. This initiative aims to reduce the number of unwanted litters by providing affordable spay and neuter services to qualifying individuals.
The grant is available to pet owners with dogs weighing 25 pounds or more and to cat owners who are recipients of SNAP food stamps, Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income. Eligible pet owners will only have to pay $15 for rabies vaccinations. Feral cat caretakers will not be
