Carlton McPeak Guest Columnist Once again, James makes a proverb-like statement when he says, "To one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). James is saying that not doing what is right is a sin, which is a very powerful statement considering its ramifications. Most of the time, we think of sin as violating God's law, and that is true.
