Homicide investigation ongoing in Lafayette County

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Contributor On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a possible homicide. Deputies were dispatched to the scene, where a Hispanic male subject was believed to be inside the home. The male subject, identified as Juan M. Posada, was persuaded to leave the house and was detained. Deputies then entered the home and discovered a deceased female victim with apparent gunshot wounds. Posada was arrested and taken to the Lafayette County Jail. However, no charges have officially been placed upon him so far.
