Greater Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church to celebrate 144th Anniversary

The celebration will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and continue through Friday, Sept. 6, with evening services held each night at 7 p.m., led by Reverend Darias Bowers. The festivities will culminate on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m., with a service featuring Reverend J.T. "Billy" Simon, the church's pastor. This year's theme is "I Don't Believe He Brought Me This Far to Leave Me." In a show of unity, the church has requested that all men attending the services wear black suits w
