Team Rubicon has made their name as a disaster response organization. The Veteran-led company is donor-funded and helps provide clean-up services. They are now offering their services to Lafayette and Suwannee Counties. “We are a non-profit organization that has over 160,000 volunteers that help communities prepare, respond and recover from disasters and humanitarian crisis,” Team Rubicon said. The company was founded in 2010, and has completed 800 operations and saved communities over $32.4 million since its inception.
Team Rubicon offers multiple services, including site surveys, debris removal, tree damage clean up, muck-outs and roof tarping. “Something bad happened- but how bad was it? We get there fast to digitally analyze and record the impact on the homeowner, on the community and on the state,” Team Rubicon said in reference to their site surveys. The debris removal is simple. They will help you clean up tree and house debris and move it in accordance with the clean up laws of the county. The offered tree damage clean up is a big help for many, as they offer teams who can cut up and move trees also in accordance with local clean up plans.
Finally, the muck-outs and roof tarping are focused almost fully on houses. They assist in removing drywall, insultation, flooring and other damaged property inside the house. They also provide tarping for damaged roofs. However, Team Rubicon will not remove the debris from the property; they are there simply to help put everything where it needs to be for county guidances.
It is always important to know how to identify trusted people post disaster. Team Rubicon members will always wear a grey shirt with the red Team Rubicon logo on the back of it.
