Jasper City Council moves forward into the new age

On Thursday, Aug. 15, the Jasper City Council met for its regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting began with the approval of the agenda, with the addition of a discussion of the Municode contract. The council then called for public comment, to which there was no response. The council then moved into its consent agenda, approving the minutes and checks for the month of July.
The council then called for their first presentation, from Gnosys Networks. The group had been brought in to take a look at all the of the town's information technology issues. Owner of the company, Jim Houston, was there to present their findings to the counci
