You can learn how to be an umpire

Be sure to cease the opportunity on Saturday, Sep. 21, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Champions Park, in Newberry, Fla. It is open to the public for anyone having the desire to become a softball umpire or a current official.  Attendees will learn the proper rules, mechanics, game management, and many other techniques of a becoming a great official. There will also be a classroom for learning, on field training and live games to be evaluated as well. The cost to attend the clinic is $60 and lunch will be provided.
