Around the Banks
As I write this column on Friday, Aug. 2, the rain is coming down here at the Eight Mile Still, and the thunder is crashing and rumbling. It's a good day to read a great book, and that's what I am doing. I am going back and re-reading "Wuthering Heights."
It seems apropos to read, once again, the love story of Heathcliff and Cathy set on the Yorkshire Moors. Emily Bronte was a masterful writer, as was her sister, Charlotte Bronte, who wrote "Jane Eyre." I will read that next.
