Local students win state FFA awards

Kenzie James  reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com  Local students in Suwannee and Lafayette Counties received state champion and finalist awards at the 96th annual Florida Future Farmers of America (FFA) convention in June.  The annual convention, held Monday, June 10, to Friday, June 14, in Orlando, Fla., offered speakers, exhibits, career-development events and activities for FFA members, advisors, administrators, alumni, parents and partners. Another key aspect of the convention was the awards presentations to recognize members' achievements. Many students in Suwannee and Lafayette Counties were recognized as winners or finalists for state proficiency awards or leadership development
