My name is Adam Hitt and I am running to be your representative for the Suwannee County School Board District 1. I was born and raised here, graduating from Suwannee High School in 1999. From there, I attended North Florida College graduating in 2001 and then attended Florida State University graduating in 2004 with two Bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality Administration and Marketing.
I have been married to my wife Jennifer for 18 years who teaches math at Suwannee Middle School. We have two boys, AJ and Braxton, who are attending school in the Suwannee County public school system.
Since returning from college, I have worked in our family business, Hitt Pest Control, for the past 18 years. I have also been active in the school system and the community. I am the current president of the Live Oak Lions Club, a mentor to a high school student, the Suwannee Middle School boys’ soccer head coach and an active member of Westwood Baptist Church where I served on the School Board from 2019-2023.
With children attending and a spouse currently teaching in our Suwannee County school system, there is no one more invested in our schools. My experience as a parent, mentor, coach, and business owner uniquely qualifies me to represent our district and I will do so to the best of my ability. I humbly ask for your vote and support and I look forward to the opportunity to serve as your next Suwannee County School Board representative.
