Lafayette County celebrates Fourth of July with a bang

The Fourth of July is the only holiday in the United States that can stand up against Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is celebrated with barbeques and cookouts and, of course, fireworks. On Thursday, July 4, the Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Fourth of July.
The festivities started at 3 p.m. with water slides, snow cones and cotton candy. Once 6 p.m. rolled around, food trucks began arriving. Folks were invited to eat at many different local food trucks and visit with local candidates to hear their plans if they were to be elected.
