Local 11-year-old starts business to attend camp and support his family

A local 11-year-old boy has begun a car detailing business, raising money to attend football camp and support his family.
Devon Penwell, a Branford resident, started detailing cars in May to raise money to purchase his own football gear and attend the Junior Dolphins football camp in Miami, Fla. He also wanted to help his mom, Jamie Roman, a single mother of five kids. Penwell started the business on his own, without any help from his mother. He came up with the business idea by himself and using his allowance to purchase the needed cleaning supplies.
