With the Primary Election growing nearer, voters throughout the tri-county area are urged to keep the following dates in mind:
Thursday, July 19: First batch of Vote-by-Mail ballots will be mailed.
Monday, July 22: Deadline for voter registration or party affiliation changes.
Thursday, Aug. 8: Last day to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot to be mailed to your address.
Saturday, Aug. 10, through Saturday, Aug. 17: Early voting period opens at the following locations:
Lafayette County: Mayo Community Center (150 NW Community Cir.) from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Hamilton County: Hamilton County Supervisor of Elections Office (1153 US 41 NW, Suite 1, in Jasper) from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
Suwannee County: Jo Kennon Public Library (10655 Dowling Park Dr.); Judicial Annex (218 Parshely St., in Live Oak); and Robert Leonard Public Library (703 NW Suwannee Ave., in Branford) from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 20: Election Day. All voting locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A photo ID with a signature is required to vote.
Voters are encouraged to check their voter registration status, register to vote, request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, find their precinct, and view their sample ballot via their Supervisor of Elections website. Lafayette County voters should visit www.lafayettevotes.net; Hamilton County voters should visit www.hamiltonvotesfl.gov; and Suwannee County voters should visit www.suwanneevotes.com.
Please note that all Vote-by-Mail requests in Florida expired on Dec. 22, 2022. Voters who haven’t re-registered for a Vote-by-Mail ballot since then should get in touch with their local Supervisor of Elections office.daily.
